We're back

We had an awesome experience in Juarez. Our family who lived in a tiny dirt floor shack with 3 children now has a two room stucco home with a concrete floor, doors, windows and roof that doesn't leak. The experience was heightened by the fact that every night we stayed in the campground in our tents we froze in the March nights . It definitely made us wonder what December and January nights are like for this family with small children. Everybody worked hard and we discovered an indescribable joy in serving others with our time and talents. A big thank you from Steve and the kids to our incredible sponsors; Dick, Ryan, Darian, Shanna and Clint and to all the folks from Osage Hills who sacrificed for us and prayed for us.

We're off to Juarez

Last minute reminders
Be at the church Saturday morning by 9:00. Eat breakfast before you come. Don't forget to pack separately for Saturday and Sunday night (clothes, toiletries and bedding). Sand storms are common in Juarez bring extra contact solution. Don't forget a light for your tent (flashlight or lantern). Be prepared to let God bless us in unexpected and unbelievable ways.

Holy Land Pilgrimage

I am including a link to some of my favorite photos (look left at photo album links) from the Holy Land Pastor's Pilgrimage that I returned from February 15. About 50 of us were blessed beyond belief at having 8 days of touring all over Israel with Bible Studies and lectures and sight seeing. We cruised the Sea of Galilee, saw Nazareth and Bethlehem, the Jordan River and Jerusalem, saw the the Dead Sea Scroll caves and swam in the Dead Sea, traveled by sky lift to the top of Masada, we spent 4 days in Jerusalem, sat and prayed in THE Garden of Gethsemane, walked the Via Dolorosa (the famous 14 stages of the crucification in Jesus' own footsteps) Our guide Ezra is one of the best if not the best guide in all Israel. All in all it was a huge inspiration to faith to replace with my eyes what a lifetime of imagination had conceived in my mind. What a thrill it is now to open God's word and read of an event and have a memory of seeing that place. I am especially grateful to Erik Stuckey and the Knights Templar for making this once in a lifetime experience possible.

Awesome Mexican Dinner Day

What a great day Sunday. I want to congratulate all of you High School kids for such an excellent job of preparing and serving the tasty Mexican Dinner. I want to thank all of our awesome coaches and parents for going way above and beyond the call of duty. Finally, thank you Osage Hills for supporting us with your prayers, attendance and financial gifts. It's because of you that this upcoming mission trip to Juarez, Mexico is even possible. With only two weeks to go we've got a lot to do. It appears also that your gracious responses to our Sibling Scholarship has covered everyone of our grateful siblings. Muchas Gracias.

Steve
